Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 with a secretarial qualification
- Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet & E-mail)
- Excellent office management, leadership and analytical skills
- Ability to demonstrate resilience and to function effectively under pressure
- Knowledge of and interpretation of legislative framework, service delivery, imperatives and implementation thereof
- Ability to understand and observe protocol
- Facilitate and co-ordinate activities between members of the Mayoral Committee, Portfolio Councillors, City Manager, Head of Departments, other members of management as well as other relevant internal and external stakeholders
- Manage the office, diary and logistical arrangements of the office of the City Manager
- Make sound judgment on matters that are highly sensitive in nature and handle responsibly
- Arrange and co-ordinate meetings, workshops, campaigns and events
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive filing system for the office
- Manage financial resources and submit periodic reports in the office of the City Manager
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on matters of service delivery and political mandates
- Assist the City Manager manage and monitor outputs, workflow and office deadlines
