INTRODUCTION

Barloworld Transport Solutions, a leading logistics and freight company, is looking for a Mechanic to be based at our Regional office in Mokopane.


MINIMUM  REQUIREMENTS

Reporting to the Inland Workshop Manager, the successful applicant will take responsibility for the following areas:

Purpose of the Job

• Assisting with trailers and associated equipment in scheduling and carrying out routing preventative maintenance.
• Attending to breakdowns on trailers and associated equipment.
• Completing job cards as company requires.
• Keeping record of maintenance carried out and advising on the utilisation of spares.
• Manage a relationship with all external suppliers.
• Ensure that the Fleet is serviced, fleet abuse is recorded and reported and general upkeep of fleet is adhered to as per company policy.
• Manage Safety by implementing a risk and safety management program and ensuring program is followed.
• Recruiting, coaching, mentoring and retaining junior staff.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric/ Grade 12.
• 3 years experience as a mechanic in a transport workshop environment.
• Computer literacy at intermediate level.
