QUALIFICATIONS  & EXPERIENCE

BComm degree or CIMA or studying towards
3-5 years’ experience in a similar financial role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Be highly computer literate preferably with experience on an integrated ERP system
Have the ability to enforce processes within the site and assist in the analysis of the monthly performance
Experience in a team leader role

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure adequate financial controls are introduced and maintained to manage sites financial accounts
Ensure month –end deadlines and system compliance are adhered to
Balancing and safe custody of the physical cash component  of the site on a daily basis
Balance and control petty cash of the site on a daily basis
Identify and highlights financial control variances on a weekly basis
Investigate possible solutions and implement process changes to optimise financial control on a monthly basis
An analytical review and report of the site performance on a monthly basis (full income statement)
Report monthly on the variances according to the analytical review
Investigate and assist with ad-hoc problems solving top ensure financial control of the site
Partially investigate & authorise stock credits on a daily basis
Assist with resolving site customers queries relating to stock returns
Oversee and manage the factory’s consumable stores function
Ensure system reliability with regards to stock holding
Assist with coordinating, planning and execution of half year and annual stock counts at the site
Assist with ad-hoc requirements surrounding the annual audit
Scrutinise expenditure of the non-stock and overhead items of the site on a daily basis
Monitor the actual expenditure against budgeted expenditure of the 2PM site on a monthly basis
Manage a small staff compliment of general admin personnel
Assist the Financial Controller with the checking the weekly wages
