Qualifications and expertise required (Must)
-National diploma: S4 / T3 Mechanical (Must)
-Mechanical Trade Test (wish)
-Drivers License (Must)

Job specification
Specific experience required/Technical responsibilities
-± 2 Years mechanical maintenance experience in
industry (Operations environment)
-Experience in a Petro-Chemical operations
environment will serve as an advantage
-± 2 Years as a mechanical technician will be an
added as advantage

DUTIES

Identify and analyses plant problems
-Evaluate the potential approaches and decide on
best option for implementation
-Monitor the performance of the implemented
solution
-Using SAP system
-Using MOC System
-Investigate failures and resolve (RCA’s)
-Development and implementation of maintenance
strategy
-Manage Maintenance small capital & renewals
projects
-Support Asset Management philosophy (SAMI)
-Handling of mechanical drawings/ documentation
(PRA/VRA/SRA)
-Project leader during shutdown from front end
loading to final clearance of operation
Sound knowledge of statutory, civil and piping
equipments
-Knowledge of SAP
-Conduct according to the Sasol Values
-Standby duties & overtime
-Safety Awareness
-Correct deviation from audits
-Monitor effectiveness of standardization and asset
strategies
-Monitor the work management system
(breakdown, emergencies and asset strategy
compliance)
-Monitor the work statutory work
