JOB PURPOSE
  • Managing Voice and Network related projects and daily operations. 
  • Duties
  • To be responsible for Managing Network and Voice related Projects.
  • Managing and vetting pricing on BCX Quotes for projects.
  • Project progress reporting, project control and change control with reference to additional user requirements, which may affect milestones, etc.
  • Vetting and signing off S.O.W. document, and planning documentation. Abiding by the agreed strategy and standards set for the Voice and Data environment.
  • Ensuring risks are addressed, managed and highlighted to project team.
  • Strong human relations with practical experience.
  • Must be task orientated, meeting milestones and deadlines, etc.
  • Monitoring progress regarding the installation process.
  • Resolves project installation problems during the installation and assess alternative routes.
  • Quality checks and produce quality assurance reports
  • Transportation/shipment control of equipment to/from Logistics for internal projects.
  • Provide day-to-day progress reports.
  • Providing information to the vendor to apply data / voice service application processes (Telkom).
  • Changes to project specifications will be handled according to procedure agreed to with the project owner.
  • To ensure that the request faults, changes and problems are updated on a daily basis.
  • To ensure user satisfaction on all levels are adhered to.
  • To Meet and exceed the user's expectations
  • Enforce correct procurement process. Obtain budget approvals Obtain order number and ensure final installation
  • Signing off Sign off of all ad hoc invoices (PABX, cabling (data & voice) related to incidents and IMACD Calls.
  • Follow up on outstanding orders and invoices.
  • Logging / Follow up of faults; requests and changes directly with Vendors (PABX, Video Conference equipment, cabling)
  • Liaison between client and Vendor
  • Ensure assets (CI's) are maintained and updated on the CMDB and FAR
KNOWLEDGE:
  • Thorough knowledge of principles of ITIL;
  • Remedy
  • Ability to relate business processes to systems and subsystems that support them;
  • Project Planning, Costing and Administration.
  • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Appropriate IT Certification.
  • Experience on relational and non-relational voice and data network areas.
  • Project Management and/or Project Leadership positive background an advantage.
