The role
Preparation of blast blocks, assist with the charging and tamping of blast holes. The safe guarding of blasts. The timely reporting of any defects and/or deviations, cleaning of applicable mining machinery, equipment and work environment, adhering to all relevant company health and safety standards and requirements, work ethics is of such a nature that it benefits the company and everyone working for it, assistance provided pro-actively or when asked for by supervisor or team members, continuously promote good housekeeping
You will need
Ability to work in a team, knowledge of equipment/tools, interpersonal skills, communication skills
Requirements
Grade 12 and relevant experience in a Mining Environment and experience in terms of health, safety and environmental systems. Applicants must also have a valid medical certificate.
Remuneration
The initial salary will be determined in accordance with Kumba Iron Ore Ltd. policies; this position is an Anglo Band 10
