Introduction :
The Diamond Mine is situated in the town of Cullinan 30km east from Pretoria. The mine is currently mining at a
depth of 747 meters using mechanized trackless block-cave mining.
Job Description:
The incumbent will be responsible for travelling way inspections for minor rehabilitation work and
maintenance of roadways.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 10
- Permanent Blasting Certificate
- Competent “A” Certificate
- Valid Public Drivers’ License Code EB (08)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Miner
- Previous Trackless experience will be an advantage
- Maintain and repair all roadways in area of responsibility
- Work shifts, overtime, do standby and be available for call-outs should the need arise
- Achieve targets
- Work according to the Mine’s Code of Practice and report any observations of this not being done
- Ensure personal and co-workers’ adherence and compliance to Security and Company SHE objectives
