The Diamond Mine is situated in the town of Cullinan 30km east from Pretoria. The mine is currently mining at a
depth of 747 meters using mechanized trackless block-cave mining.
The incumbent will be responsible for the installation of mining water pipes and sludge columns
according to sound engineering practice and equipment specifi
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Qualified Boilermaker with Trade Certificate at recognized /accredited institution
- Valid Public Driver’s License Code EB (08)
- Minimum of 5 years post trade qualification experience as a Boilermaker
- Must have previous underground experience
DUTIES
- Installation of mining water pipes and sludge columns
- Maintenance of conveyor belt systems and related machinery
- Perform inspections in accordance with the Mine Health Safety Act regulations, manufacturing and company standards
- Ensure personal and co-workers’ adherence and compliance to Security and Company’s SHE objectives
- Sound verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in English
- Pass Vienna Assessment (Level 2) - (test to be done on mine)
- Independent, proactive thinking and have the ability to do own job planning
- High level of multi-skilling
- Work overtime, shifts, do standby and be available for call-outs should the need arise
