JOB SUMMARY
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacancy of a Drill Master (wtihout a Blasting Certificate) for the Mine Development Division at Venetia near Musina in Limpopo. The successful candidate will report to the Mine Overseer
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Pro-actively identify risks, variance to plan and discuss the impact of these
• Engage in the optimisation of shaft sinking process to ensure continuous alignment to best practice standards
• Complying with the Health and Safety policy and practices of the company
• Managing a specialised, high risk project safely
• Identify, initiate and commence improvement projects to increase operational efficiencies with continuous improvement at all times
• Engage in the optimisation of decline shaft sinking process to ensure continuous alignment to best practice standards
• Oversee pre-sinking operations to ensure that these are within time and budget constraints, as well as legal and safety requirements
• Complying with the Health and Safety policy and practices of the company
• Keep employees positive and motivated at all times and lead by example
Be able to function as key Team player in a dynamic team environment
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Extensive working experience in shaft sinking (Declinel) as a Drill Master
• Good knowledge and experience of a trackless mining environment
• Good knowledge (mining and civil construction)
• Proven safety record
Proven Track record of production achievements
• Good communication skills in English, and at least one of the other official languages
• Computer Literate in MS Office Suite
EDUCATION
• Matric Certificate
• Drill Rig Operator Certificate
• Certificate of competency
