Requirements:
- An appropriate tertiary qualification and 2 years relevant experience to the function
- Proven exposure to the deliverables mentioned above
- Proven ability to function under work- and time pressure
- Working overtime as needed
- Sound language proficiency in at least two of the three Western Cape official languages (English, Afrikaans, Xhosa)
Duties:
- Evaluating user support requests against job profile and required SAMRAS menu
- Trouble shooting less complex problems with remote and local users and resolving Application Systems and operations related problems with the System supplier via ICT
- Write easy query programs to do extracts to promote data control and reporting
- Providing guidance to users with sequences and also with errors in the use of the financial system
- Responsible for testing and quality assurance of financial reports
- Providing users with support and guidance when discussing enhancements required to the Financial System and managing System Enhancement and Program Fix process
- Maintain parameters for all modules to ensure an accurate financial system
- Managing user access levels ensuring that access are limited to their job requirements by means of a dedicated menu to comply with audit security requirements
- Create and change new formulas/tariffs on the financial system to accommodate new tariffs or changes to tariffs
- Responsible for decision support and forecasting by means of data analysis
- Monitoring of the System Audit File for reversed and attempted incorrect transactions and following up where required and reporting of exceptions
- Maintain existing and create new tariffs and tariff strictures for the billing of services to ensure that accurate accounts are rendered to consumers
- Responsible for providing management reports, exporting of flat files into spread sheets to pivot tables and exception reports
