INTRODUCTION
Largest premier logistics platform provider in Durban requires a Contract and Compliance Manager (perferably from a Procurement environment) to join this sought after finance team. An opportunity to join a fast-growing, entrepreneurial, preferred employer in Durban.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bcomm Accounting Degree

At least 5 years in a senior financial accountant role

DUTIES
- Recommend updates to policies and ensure implementation of policies and procedures;
- Ensure that all supplier invoices received are processed timeously;
- Review all captured invoices for posting to the correct accounts.
- Ensure that transactions are properly classified.
- Prepare analysis for month-end, quarter-end estimations for certain accounts requiring adjustments or provisions. (this will require knowledge of numerical methods)
- Perform the general ledger accounts reconciliation and related journal entries;
- Generate financial month-end trial balance, income statement and reference balance sheet;
- Conduct detailed income statement reviews
- Preparation of quarterly financials as required.
- Prepare the monthly VAT reconciliations, schedules and ensure that VAT returns are filed timely
- Attend to VAT audit queries by SARS
- Be the central point of communication for both internal and external auditors
- Prepare Separate Annual Financial Statement for the entity and Group Annual Financial Statements
- Prepare Consolidated Annual Financial Statements for the Group
- Prepare annnual financial statements using the Provincial Treasury template.
- Consolidate and prepare working papers to support for the notes to the AFS.
- Ensure that legislation, regulations, standards, policies and procedures are complied with;
