Field Service Technician ( Johannesburg-based ) ( Rustenburg-based )

 NB This is an AA/EE Position

- SA CITIZENS ONLY 

  to perform mechanical field service work associated with the mounting, dismounting, maintenance and application of bearing products.

  This service work could be performed in the service department at the company's Witfield-based office,
 or on site at sub-contractors / end users in South Africa, Sub-Saharan African states or abroad, as the need arises

Minimum requirements :

> Technically qualified Fitter & Turner to artisan levelValid unendorsed driver's licenceValid unendorsed passportExperience required
>  Wide experience in industry and heavy applicationsSkills required
 >   Practical fitting experience for bearings and associated components
>   Good knowledge of bearing products Planning and organisational skills
>  Attention to detailSuitable physical attributes to perform heavy manual labour and fulfil the requirements to attain a 'red ticket' for underground work
>Technical report writing skills
>Ability to project a professional image to distributors and customers
>Willingness to travel and perform service work in South Africa and AfricaWillingness to work over weekends to service contracts in the mining industry where maintenance work is scheduled on Saturdays and SundaysKey Tasks

DUTIES

 :Performing physical service work associated with the mounting and dismounting of bearings and other associated bearing productsProviding an efficient
: professional service to customers via the company distribution networkEstablishing and maintaining good relations with colleagues and staff at distributors and customersPromoting the sale of company products and services when opportunities present themselves
:Being aware of, and adhering to, the procedures related to MFS activities required for the ISO 9001:2000 Quality SystemResponsibility for maintaining acceptable cleanliness standards for company vehicles
:Ensuring that company vehicles are serviced at the prescribed intervals and are in good working order at all timesEnsuring that the necessary health and safety specifications (both internal and customer-defined) are adhered to at all times during the execution of service tasksEnsuring that all necessary paperwork eg. Job cards, installation reports, overtime records, travel expense reports etc is completed correctly and timeously
:Where required, performing overtime work or work over weekends to satisfy customer requirements
:Maintaining and ensuring the safekeeping of tools and equipment used to perform the prescribed service tasks
:Assisting with the packaging and assembly of components for Solution Factory projects and service application packages
:Maintaining acceptable cleanliness standards within the MFS workshopWhere required, assisting with the reconditioning of bearings
:Adhering to all other applicable company policies and procedures
